Grilled Paneer Sandwich (Air Fryer or Stove Top Pan)

Paneer Sandwich, an Indian style simple sandwich recipe using grated paneer and eggless mayonnaise. Recipe below has step wise pics, tips for both STOVE TOP PAN & AIR FRYER METHODS.

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Grill Pan (for stove top method)
  • Air-Fryer for air-fryer method

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Grated Paneer
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Vegan Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Ketchup / Tomato Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 count Yellow Bell Pepper / Capsicum (small size)
  • 1 count Green Bell Pepper / Capsicum (small size)
  • 1 count Red Bell Pepper / Capsicum (small size)
  • 2 count Onions (small size)
  • 2 tablespoons Peri Peri Masala Powder
  • as per taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil

Instructions
 

Prep Work:

  • Gather all the ingredients at one place. Slice the bell peppers in circles. Finely chop the onion length wise.

Prepare the sandwich spread:

  • In a small cup, add the mayonnaise, tomato sauce and ground black pepper. Mix up.
    Apply butter on both sides of the bread slices.

Stove Top Grilled Paneer Sandwich:

  • Put a grill pan on stove top under high flame. Brush throughout the pan with cooking oil.
    Place the bread slices on the pan. Apply the sandwich spread on both slices.
  • Put all these over the spread>> bell pepper slices, onion slices, loads of grated paneer, little peri peri masala powder, pinch of salt.
    Place another bread slice on each.
  • Grill them under high flame. After 2 mins, carefully turn the sandwich to the other side.
    Continue until you get the perfect grill marks. Then, remove from the pan. Done!

Air Fryer Grilled Paneer Sandwich:

  • Brush air fryer mesh with cooking oil. Place 2 bread slices, one beside another.
    Apply the prepared sandwich spread on each.
    Put all these over the bread>> bell pepper slices, onion slices, loads of grated paneer, little peri peri masala powder, pinch of salt.
  • Place another bread slice over each. Close the air fryer. Set the MODE to GRILL, temperature to 200C/390F, time to 6 mins.
    Then, carefully turn each sandwich to the other side. Again set the air fryer with same settings.
    Remove, cut diagonally using pizza cutter & serve. Done!
