Tips & Plan to Follow:
Here, the only prep work is to get the rice cooked for the Tamarind rice. Other than that there isn’t any major prep work to be done here as they all are quick recipes.
Here, I used left over rice from the previous day which reduced the prep work for me.
I started with soaking the dry tamarind in hot water, for the tamarind rice. Grated 1 carrot for idli, chopped the green chillies, coriander. That’s it.
Then, I started with the semiya idli. After making the batter, I had to rest it for 10 mins. That’s when I made the tamarind rice within just 10 mins.
Next, I put the IDLI(s) for steaming in the Instant Pot. While they were steaming, finished making the instant green chilli (jalapeno) chutney.
Of course, used my small mixie / blender for the chutney. Steaming the idli(s) might be done on stove-top too. Recipe link below gives both methods.
Having in mind about this break platter for the weekend, I prepared the Wheat Flour Burfi 2 days before itself.
All items made simultaneously but attentively. Multi-tasking and using all gadgets available is the key.
