Carrots: Are are a great source of beta carotene, anti-oxidants, vitamin K and Vitamin A.
Black Peppercorn: Does help in bone health, wound healing and metabolism. It has anti-oxidant and anti bacterial properties.

Tips & Storage:
- Adjust the salt & spice as per your taste.
- Common additions include paprika, cumin, thyme, rosemary, or a sprinkle of garlic powder.
- Oven Baked Method: Follow the same instructions of the Air Fryer method.
- Storage: After cutting the carrots, season them, roast them only half way and cool them completely.
- Place the cooled carrot fries in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the tray for 5 to 6 hrs, then transfer them into air tight freezer bags, for up to 2-3 months.
- When needed, take them out, roast them using air fryer / grill pan.
- Keep in mind, texture of frozen carrot fries will not be exactly the same as freshly cooked fries.
- They might be slightly softer after freezing and reheating. However, they still are delicious.

Homemade Roasted Carrot Fries (Air Fryer and Grill Methods)
Equipment
- 1 Wide Mixing Bowl
- 1 Grill Pan (for stove top method)
- 1 Air-Fryer for air-fryer method
Ingredients
- 6 count Fresh Carrots (medium size)
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- as per taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Dried Mixed Herbs
- 1 teaspoon Black Peppercorn (freshly crushed)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
Instructions
1cup=250ml; ¾ cup=180ml; ½cup=125ml; 1 tbsp=14ml; 1 tsp = 4ml
Prep Work:
- Gather all the ingredients at one place. Coarsely crush the black peppercorn in a mortar-pestle (or) else using a rolling pin on flat surface.
- Wash and peel the carrots. Cut off little of both the edges. Now, cut each carrot into half, and further cut them into thin long pieces of 1 cm thickness, as shown.
Seasoning & Coating the Carrot Sticks:
- In a mixing bowl, add all these>> olive oil, dried mix herbs, salt, freshly crushed black peppercorn, garlic powder. Give a mix with a spoon.
- Transfer all the carrot sticks into the bowl. Gently, toss everything such that all the carrot pieces are thoroughly coated.
Roasted Carrot Fries using Grill Pan:
- Put a grill pan on stove top over high flame. Drizzle little oil (1 tbsp) throughout the pan. Gently spread the carrot sticks. Let them fry.
- After 10 mins, gently flip them to the other side. Let them fry on this side for 5 more mins. Switch the flame off, remove the fries and serve hot. Done!
Air Fryer Roasted Carrot Fries:
- Spread the air fryer mesh with parchment paper. Place the seasoned carrot sticks, spread in a single layer and see that they are separated.
- Close the air fryer, set the MODE to ROAST, temperature to 205°C / 400°F, time to 10 mins. You need not reverse them in between.
- When the timer is done, the air fryer beeps. Then open the air fryer, remove the carrot fries and serve hot. Done!
