Burfi is the name of the milk based sweet from the Inian subcontinent. But the word is derived from the Persian word Baraf, which means snow. Might be because of the texture being so soft just like melt-in-mouth.

Difference between burfi and laddoo making
The main time taking task for making these fudge recipes is the stirring it involves. While laddoos don’t need much of stirring but the art of forming them into nice round balls.
